Pleural plaques: consultation closes

The Ministry of Justice’s consultation on the issue of compensation for sufferers of pleural plaques has now drawn to an end, with responses to be published in November.

The paper has been available online since July to seek views on the Government response to a controversial House of Lords decision from October 2007 ending the award of damages to individuals diagnosed with the condition.
