Minimum Wage: Recommendations extended to two years ahead

The Low Pay Commission is to make recommendations for National Minimum Wage (NMW) levels two years in advance, following a request from the Government.

The Commission has been asked to make provisional rate recommendations for the year 2010, as well as recommendations for the October 2009 rates.  A consultation on the remit is available on its website.
