Much has been made of employee welfare following the onset of the credit crunch and increasing rates of redundancy, but a new report published by the Work Foundation claims that it is important for employers and the Government to ensure that the quality of employment is recognised.
The paper, entitled ‘Good Work’: Job Quality in a Changing Economy, adds weight to recent speculation that bad quality employment practices can be have major impacts on employee health and wellbeing.
