Two companies have been charged with breaching the Environmental Protection Act 1990 after being found guilty of illegally depositing contaminated soil.
Frankis Solutions Ltd of Chelmsford was fined £4,000 with £1,000 costs after failing to make sure that the soil was disposed of properly and failing to describe the waste accurately to avoid anyone else breaking the law.
