Government "should concentrate on reducing business waste"

The Government should concentrate on reducing packaging waste from business rather than householders, the House of Lords Science and Technology Committee is recommending in its waste reduction report.

The committee also recommended using variable VAT rates to cut consumption of raw materials and encourage the development of sustainable products.
