The Climate Change Levy, which is a tax on commercial energy users, will come into force from April 2001.The tax is designed to be approximately proportional to the amount of carbon dioxide produced when the fuel is used.Levy ratesThe levy will be applied as a charge per kWh of fuel consumed.
