Minister for Equalities Harriet Harman made an oral statement to the House of Commons today (26 June), outlining the key issues to be tackled in the new Equality Bill.
The Equality Bill is set to ‘declutter’ discrimination law, creating a “single statute to replace the complex web of legislation over the years” and will be written in plain English so that those who need to comply with it “can see the wood for the trees”.
