Extending age discrimination legislation to cover the provision of goods and services is one of the considerations being made for the Single Equality Bill, it has been confirmed.
Speaking to Workplace Law Network, a spokesperson for the Government Equalities Office, which is responsible for drafting the new Equality Bill, confirmed that the extension of age discrimination legislation is a possibility:
