Noisy areas to be targeted in action plans

Noise maps released last week by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA), showing the noise levels produced by major industries, road and rail networks will be followed by plans for reducing the levels in the most unreasonable areas according to Environment Minister Jonathon Shaw.
