£97,000 bullying study to give businesses vital insight

    IOSH is paying out £97,000 to fund research into workplace violence and bullying. The team of psychologists at the University of Sheffield will use the grant to study the cause and effects of violence and bullying to provide employers and Government bodies with guidance on dealing with this workplace issue.

    Violence at work leaves victims prone to anxiety, depression and in extreme cases, suicide, affecting the company as a whole through morale issues and increased absence.
