Flexible working to be extended, new report set to announce

A report due to be published this week is likely to recommend that the right to request flexible working be extended to parents with older children.   

The Financial Times revealed at the weekend that Prime Minister Gordon Brown is likely to embrace the recommendations made by an independent review into flexible working, which has been carried out by Imelda Walsh, HR director of supermarket Sainsbury’s.
