A Nottingham shop owner has become the third employer to be criminally prosecuted for National Minimum Wage offences.
Robert Singh, proprietor of Pound Mania in Nottingham, was fined £500 and £150 costs. He pleaded guilty to neglecting to produce appropriate records to HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) compliance officers. Officers were attempting to establish whether a former employee had received the National Minimum Wage.
