The annual cost of crimes against UK businesses is £12.6bn, a report released by the British Chamber of Commerce (BCC) has highlighted.
This figure has increased by 20% since the BCC’s last survey on business crime, and now equates to over a sixth of the total cost of all crime in the UK.
The report, entitled The Invisible Crime: A Business Crime Survey, surveyed 3,900 businesses nationwide to ascertain the extent of crime against business and found that:
