Noise at Work Regulations: what's new this April?

From 6 April 2008 the Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005 will come into effect for employers in the sector involved in live or recorded music in restaurants, bars, nightclubs, etc.   

Other sectors have had to comply with the regulations for the last two years, but due to the nature of their work this sector were given a two year transitional period. 

Employers will have a new responsibility to protect their employees hearing.
