Company fined after security guard is crushed to death

    A company has been fined £20,000 and ordered to pay costs of £5,717 after pleading guilty to health and safety breaches which led to the death of a security guard.

    John Cavill, 54, was working for SDS Security Services as a security guard at the premises of E. Pawson & Son Limited when a metal security gate fell from its tracks, landing on top of him.
