Anger at panto sweet ban

Panto stars erupted in fury after a ban on throwing sweets to children was imposed at a Cambridge theatre.

The traditional treat has been ended by Cambridge Arts Theatre chiefs after a legal warning they could be sued if a soft centre was thrown from the stage.

Insurers have warned theatre bosses that members of the audience could be injured and if they are, they could be entitled to compensation.
