Being unaware of recycling regulations is no excuse, says Environment Agency

    Wellingborough business Eden Industries (UK) Ltd has been fined a total of £8,000 and ordered to pay full Environment Agency costs of £1,250 for failing to comply with recycling legislation for two years because it claimed to be unaware of the regulations. 

    Director and Company Secretary Norman Maydon told investigating officers that the company had ‘probably made redundant’ the person responsible for packaging in the restructuring of the company.
