Two offshore unions are launching a campaign to combat oil and gas operators that they claim are blacklisting contract employees who complain about safety issues.
The Offshore Industry Liaison Committee and the Rail, Maritime and Transport union are against the use of NRBs (Not Required Back). When a worker is declared NRB - he is no longer able to work on an operator's installations but no reason is given to the contractors. Employers deny that this practice is common.
