    One of the more difficult aspects of managing employees is the management of those on long-term sickness absence. Most employers wish to support employees in such circumstances whilst ensuring that the needs of the business are met. However, when an employee is found not to be as ill or incapacitated as he or she has suggested it becomes an issue of conduct rather than capability.
