Dermatitis on the rise and costing business more than £20m

    The skin condition dermatitis is on the rise and is costing business more than £20m a year, even though the cost of control measures to prevent the disease costs less than 1% of the average restaurant meal.

    Workers in the hotel and catering industry are particularly vulnerable to the debilitating disease, which is a painful skin condition that occurs when the protective layer of the skin is broken leading to redness, irritation, cracking and blistering.Work-related contact dermatitis,...
