Company fined for repeated environmental pollution

    Magistrates have fined a logistics company a total of £17,000 and have ordered it to pay full Environment Agency costs of £5,008 after waste water from a factory polluted a nearby river killing hundreds of fish.

    Three times in three months waste from a vegetable factory, run by Salvesen Logistics Ltd in Lincolnshire, escaped into nearby drains polluting the water.
