About us

Workplace Law is a specialist in employment law, health and safety, and environmental management. An established market leader in the provision of information, training, consultancy and support services, we help organisations go beyond compliance in the workplace and build a better future.

Workplace Law is a corporate member of the Association for Project Safety (APS) and the British Institute of Facilities Management (BIFM), and a special advisor to the Facilities Management Association (FMA). We are the BIFM’s specialist advisor on employment law, health and safety, and premises management and are working with the BIFM to help produce ThinkFM 2013, the sector’s leading annual conference.

We are active in the community, with Workplace Law staff regularly engaging in voluntary work – we’ve raised more than £30,000 in recent years for various causes including our nominated charity, Exhall Grange Specialist School in Coventry.

Founded in 1995, we operate throughout the UK from offices in Cambridge and London, and have recently opened an office in South Africa.

Educating our clients through the provision of an award-winning membership and online information service, and through the delivery of recognised training programmes by classroom, e-learning and blended learning study. Licensed by the CIPD, IEMA, IOSH and NEBOSH, we are one of the UK’s leading information and training providers.

Supporting our clients by providing bespoke advice and strategic consultancy, with on-site, telephone and online support throughout the UK. We offer a range of solutions to suit your needs, from one-off projects to indemnified annual support contracts.

Resourcing talent for our clients through our recruitment arm that specialises in the permanent, interim and temporary placement of competent professionals in the areas of health, safety and environment, facilities management, and human resources.

Practice areas

Workplace Law is structured into four key practice areas:

Workplace Law Health and Safety specialises in health and safety management and compliance. We are an established training provider, licensed by IOSH and NEBOSH to provide accredited health and safety training programmes via classroom and e-learning study modes. Our advice and support encompasses health and safety strategy and systems, such as HSG 65 and OHSAS 18001, in addition to CDM and fire safety compliance.

Workplace Law Environmental specialises in environmental management and compliance. We are an established training provider, approved by the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA) to provide certified courses at foundation level. Our specialist consultancy work includes environmental auditing, advice on environmental management systems, including ISO 14001, BREAAM and energy efficiency assessments, and compliance with environmental regulations.

Workplace Law Human Resources specialises in HR and employment law. We are an established training provider, licensed by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) to provide accredited training programmes. Our advice and support for employers includes recruitment, performance management, discrimination and dismissal, as well as representation in Employment Tribunal proceedings.

Workplace Law Career Network specialises in the recruitment of permanent, interim and temporary personnel in facilities management, building services, health and safety, and human resources. Drawing on the group’s specialist resources, our enhanced support for clients and candidates includes psychometric testing, assessment centres, employment law advice, access to CIPD accredited training and the award-winning online Workplace Law Info Centre.
